Annie McLaughlin is a third year student at DePaul University studying Entrepreneurship and Graphic Design. As a student at DePaul University, she delves into the realms of Entrepreneurship and Graphic Design with passion and dedication. Outside of the classroom, Annie spends her time designing and sewing her own clothes, as well as working on a fashion magazine with her roomate.
Annie has a radio show at DePaul called, The Runway Rundown, where she talks about the looks of different runway shows throughout history, pairing each show with a vast array of songs from the time period, or that just fit the clothes. She dives into the deep history of the designer, and analyzes multiple looks and what they mean to both her and the world.
Annie is proficient in most of the Adobe Creative Suite; and specializes in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. She has demonstrated many skills throughout her classes at DePaul, and applies them to the work she does in design out in the real world.
Annie is currently looking for a design internship located in Chicago, and is open to any and all positions. As a beginner designer she would love the opportunity to dip her toes into the industry and be able to learn more about graphic design. Her dream has always been to work in publication design, as you may see by a lot of the work in her portfolio, she spend a lot of time designing magazines in InDesign. Graphic Design is special to Annie because it has been a source of happiness, and a creative outlet for her her whole life. Nowadays, she appreciates how it has connected her to her family by taking on projects for her loved ones all the time.
